Going to a Book Store

Last week, I went to a book store with my brother. We wanted to buy some books and comics. We went there by a motorcycle. First we left home at 2 p.m. The traffic to the book store was not crowded. The book store was not so far from our house. After 25 minutes, we arrived at the book store.

There many people at the book store. I saw there some people choosing kinds of books, magazines, comics, etc. There were many kinds of books at the book store. They were arranged on book shelves. Some people read in front of the shelves. We chose some books and comics we needed and went to cashier. After that we went to a restaurant for having meal. I order meat-balls and soft drink. My bother ordered fried noodle and a soft drink too.

Finally we went home in the evening. We arrived home at 05.15 p.m. We felt very tired but we were happy.

Recount Text


A. Pengertian

Teks recount adalah teks yang menceritakan kembali suatu peristiwa yang telah terjadi pada masa lalu.

B. Struktur teks recount
  1. Orientation (Orientasi): berisi pendahuluan tentang peristiwa yang terjadi, tokoh yang terlibat dalam peristiwa tersebut, tempat, serta waktu peristiwa itu terjadi
  2. Events: berisi jalinan peristiwa/kejadian yang ada dalam cerita pengalaman tersebut. Bagian ini bisa terdiri atas beberapa peristiwa/event.
  3. Re-orientatin: berisi tentang rangkuman/penutup cerita.
    C. Ciri-ciri Kebahasaan (Language Features of the Recount Text):
    1. focus on specific participants,
    2. use material processes (action verbs)
    3. use the circumstances of time and place (Adverb of time and place),
    4. use of past tense.
    5. focus on temporal sequence.
    D. Supporting features:
    • Past continuous tense
    • Past perfect tense

    E. Contoh Teks Recount:

    A Study Tour to Bali

    I was in senior high school when at the first time I went to Bali Island. I went there with my teachers and my friends. It was a study tour actually. My teacher, me class friends, and I were in the same bus. We left our school at 8 a.m.

     

    The journey from Pati to Bali took a day. I was so exhausted because I had to sit along the journey. Actually, it was a funny journey because I spent all of my time with my friends, like playing games, laughing, and kidding. But I felt that all of my tiredness gone all of sudden when we arrived at the Sanur Beach. It was still morning, I saw a sun rise which was so beautiful. Then we were drove to the hotel to take a rest and had meals. After that, we went to the Nusa Dua Beach. There were so many activities to do there. We could play parasailing, banana boat, and so on. But I chose to go to a little island which had a lot of reptile there. There were snake, turtles, etc. The scenery was so beautiful because I was in the middle of the sea! Next, we went to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK). There were two statues which were so big. They were Wisnu and his bird, called Garuda. I was interested in its relief on the rock but, actually, I did not know the story on it. At last, we went to the Sosro Company. We learned a lot of things there from the first step till the end of making a tea. After that, we went back to Pati.
     

    After a very long journey, through the land and the sea, I learned something about nature and human products. Although it took a lot of my energy, I felt so happy because I spent all of my time with my friends.

    Preference


    Dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris, baik dengan tulisan atau pun dengan lisan, seseorang sering kali menggunakan tentang lebih menyukai sesuatu dari pada yang lain; seperti: 

    Saya lebih suka membaca dari pada menulis.

    Pengungkapan pendapat seperti inilah yang disebut Preference.
    Ada beberapa cara yang biasanya dipergunakan untuk mengungkapkan pilihan (preferensi):
    1. Menggunakan pola "like ... better than ..."
    2. Menggunakan pola "prefer ... to ..."
    3. Menggunakan pola "would rather ... than ..."
    Semua cara tersebut di atas mempunyai arti/tujuan yang sama, walaupun menggunakan pola yang berbeda. 

    Dalam kalimat yang biasa, kesukaan yang lebih dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan dua kalimat, sedangkan dengan preferensi dapat diungkapkan dengan satu kalimat saja. 
    Perhatikan contoh kalimat di bawah ini!
    • I sometimes write a report by hand. I like to type it very much. 
    • I don't like coffee. I like tea.
    Kedua pasang kalimat di atas dapat diungkapkan dengan menggunakan salah satu pola kalimat preference (preferensi), seperti pola tersebut di atas. 

    1. Dengan pola "like ... better than ...      
    • I like typing better than writing a report.
    • I like tea better than coffee.
    2. Dengan pola "prefer ... to ...
    • I prefer typing to writing a report.
    • I prefer tea to coffee.
    3. Dengan pola "would rather ... than ..."
    • I would rather type than write a report.
    • I would rather drink tea than (drink) coffee.
    Kesimpulan dari contoh-contoh di atas menggunakan pola:

    1. Subject + like + (Noun) +  better than + (Noun)   atau  
        Subject + like + (verb ing) + better than + (verb ing)

    2. Subject + Prefer + (Noun) +  to + (Noun)  atau  
        Subject + Prefer + (verb ing) + to + (verb ing)

    3. Subject + Would rather + infinitive + than + infinitive

    Contoh Soal:
    1. X : Which do you like, fried rice or sandwiches? 
        Y : I like fried rice ... sandwiches.
        A. than
        B. more than
        C. to
        D. better than

    KISI-KISI SKL UJIAN NASIONAL 2016 - Ralat

    Kisi-Kisi SKL UN 2016 merupakan hal yang sangat ditunggu tunggu oleh para guru dan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu di blog ini ingin berbagi walaupun sebenarnya pada saat pastingan ini ditulis sudah sangat terlambat. Namun tidak ada salahnya dan tidak ada kata terlambat jika saya ingin berbagi informasi tentang Kisi-Kisi SKL UN 2016 ini.

    Sebagaimana telah diinformasikan sebelumnya bahwa kisi-kisi UN 2016 merupakan irisan dari kurikulum KTSP 2006 dengan kurikulum 2013. Kali ini BNSP sudah memastikan bahwa kisi-kisi UN 2016 menggunakan kisi soal UN sebagaimana ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan Nomor 0035/P/BSNP/IX/2015 tentang Kisi-Kisi Soal Ujian Nasional untuk Satuan Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah.
